In order to become a Real Estate Agent, there are three main
requirements. The first is to complete an approved 75 hour
Salesperson Course. The second is to pass a State exam.
The third is to have a sponsor. These three requirements may
be met in any order. You can take the
state exam prior to completing the course or obtaining a sponsor.
LISORE is a state approved provider of Real Estate Agent Pre-license
courses. Our school allows you to take classes days, nights,
weekends or any combination of the three. You can repeat any
class and take a full year to complete your coursework.
The State exam can be taken at several locations. The exam
is given locally in Franklin Square, Hauppauge, and in Manhattan.
Prior to taking the exam, you must pre-register on-line. You
can go to the following link and fill out the forms and then
register. The exam is $15 dollars, one hour long, and contains
75 multiple choice questions. The current waiting period to
get an exam is about five weeks, so do not delay in getting an
appointment.
.
The third requirement to get a license is to find a sponsor.
Many Real Estate Brokers are on the lookout for new recruits and it
is fairly easy to start with one. LISORE does not recommend or
endorse any Real Estate Broker. We pride ourselves on our
pristine atmosphere. LISORE does not allow its instructors nor
anyone else talk about their own or another Broker.
